On September 16, a joint webinar was held by TAS Life and the international insurance pool IGP, focusing on the topic of reducing the cost of corporate insurance.
The webinar was attended by over 30 participants from the professional insurance market in Ukraine, highlighting the importance of discussing the pooling procedure for both international companies operating in Ukraine and professional corporate brokers and consultants.
Participating in an international insurance pool provides international guarantees, transparency of all processes for the parent company, and the possibility of receiving a portion of the insurance premium back, known as the "international dividend".
Therefore, we have decided to delve into all the intricacies of this process through a series of posts.
Let's start our first post with a definition: What is the "IGP international insurance pool"?
IGP is a division of John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.). It was established in 1967 to assist multinational companies in better managing employee insurance costs. To achieve this, the proposal was made to consolidate the company's insurance plans worldwide, which resulted in cost reduction.
IGP also enables better management of employee insurance programs abroad, ensuring the awareness of the parent company's staff as well as local subsidiaries.
This international insurance pool is a leader in the field of international employee insurance management, with a large and experienced team of specialists and coordination offices in Boston, Brussels, Singapore, and Waterloo.
IGP operates in each country through its partners, which are insurance companies, each of them being a market leader in their respective markets.
In Ukraine, these partners are TAS Life Insurance Company (life insurance) and TAS Insurance Group (medical insurance).
