In this blog, we have gathered everything you need to know about our new partner - the mobile clinic DobroDoc+, a reliable service for online consultations with the best Ukrainian doctors.
A Bit of Telemedicine History
Collaboration with telemedicine services is not new to our practice, and we have previously told you about the history, development, and advantages of remote medical consultations.
Just to remind you, the unofficial start of telemedicine in the world is considered to be the beginning of the last century when the first electrocardiogram was transmitted over the telephone. The development of telemedicine in Ukraine began in the 1940s during research conducted as part of space projects. Subsequently, the practice mainly involved transmitting ECGs through various communication channels and video consultations. In 2009, the Telemedicine Network of Ukraine was created, which initiated telemedical consultations and the exchange of medical expertise among doctors.
Currently, nearly half of the telemedicine market (46%) is concentrated in the United States. Canada, China, and Scandinavian countries follow suit. Among European countries, there is high demand for telemedicine in the United Kingdom. Here, as well as in Japan, the aging population is a driving force behind the development of this field. Telemedical solutions and consultations help doctors and patients improve medical care.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given an additional boost to the development of telemedicine worldwide - patients have learned about new opportunities to receive medical assistance without the need to visit a clinic. And at the beginning of 2022, the start of hostilities in our country played its role. With many institutions closed, destroyed, or located in occupied territories, and the rest overcrowded with people suffering from seasonal illnesses and the coronavirus itself, consulting with a doctor remotely, without exposing oneself to danger, is the best solution.
Our partner, the DobroDoc clinic, provides such consultations.
For this purpose, a special mobile application called DobroDoc+ has been created.
This software product is the result of the work of highly skilled professionals and the use of advanced functional components.
The mobile clinic "DobroDoc" itself, which offers house call doctor services, has been operating in Kyiv since 2017, while the DobroDoc+ service appeared on the market in December 2019.
Currently, more than 50,000 users have an annual subscription for online consultations, and according to statistics, 92% of clients are fully satisfied with the services provided. The average duration of a consultation is 30 minutes, which is sufficient to receive a thorough response from a specialist.
By the way, let's talk about the specialists.
DobroDoc+ provides consultations in nine of the most popular areas, namely General Practitioner, Family Doctor, Pediatrician, Dermatologist, Endocrinologist, Gastroenterologist, Gynecologist, Psychologist, Neurologist, and Otolaryngologist.
The average rating given by patients to the consulting doctors of the service is 4,9 out of 5.
And yes, there is an option in the app to leave feedback after each consultation.
So, how does an online doctor consultation work?
The doctor carefully listens to the patient's complaints and symptoms.
They review the results of laboratory and instrumental examinations.
They identify the causes of concern and clearly explain what is happening with the patient.
If necessary, they provide recommendations for further consultation and treatment with other specialists.
They give advice on the regimen and administration of medications.
At the end of the consultation, the doctor provides a summary to the patient in the app and, if necessary, to the insurance company.
If there is poor internet coverage, the doctor will make a phone call.
What are the benefits of the "DobroDoc+" service for patients?
Data security: All provided and received information is confidential and securely stored in the cloud service.
No risk of contact with potentially ill individuals.
Time and cost savings.
The ability to quickly and timely consult with doctors without waiting in queues and regardless of location, without spending money on transportation.
User-friendly experience: The app's intuitive design helps users understand how to register and start using the service.
Medical records and doctor's appointments on the smartphone: The history of visits and appointments is stored, and all information is always at hand.
Quality medical service.
Cutting-edge technologies recognized in Europe: DobroDoc is the only company in Ukraine licensed to provide such services.
Additionally, it is worth noting that for our Corporate Clients, the DobroDoc+ service allows not only insured employees but also their family members (up to 5 individuals) to receive consultations. Each person will have their own medical record.

Health Guide: Why you shouldn’t ignore checkups with your doctor?
Prevention is cheaper than treatment, helps avoid complications, and sometimes saves lives. Regular checkups with a doctor help identify risks of illness or diseases at early stages. Such checkups allow for the timely detection of gynecological, urological, cardiovascular, infectious diseases, and even cancer.
